Committed to fostering the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadan, Bank Nizwa, the leading and most trusted Islamic bank in the Sultanate of Oman, has launched a series of impactful social welfare initiatives aimed at creating a lasting positive impact within the communities it serves. These efforts exemplify the bank’s unwavering dedication to social empowerment, reflecting its core Islamic values, while inspiring broader community participation in charitable acts and service during this season.
Highlighting the significance of the bank's Ramadan initiatives, Mr. Khaled Al Kayed, Chief Executive Officer at Bank Nizwa, remarked, “Our theme this year for Ramadan ‘A Path to Connection’, embodies our commitment to promoting unity and extending support to those in need. Ramadan provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the values of compassion, generosity, and community.”
“These initiatives encourage our customers, employees, and the wider public to find joy in the act of giving, while strengthening meaningful connections within the community. They foster a collective sense of responsibility, creating a positive impact, particularly for vulnerable and disadvantaged families. Through our active involvement in charitable efforts and commitment to elevating community engagement, we strive to go beyond delivering exceptional banking experiences, aiming to make a tangible difference in the lives of those around us,” he added.
As part of its Ramadan initiative, Bank Nizwa has joined forces with the Food Bank to support their mission of packaging and distributing Iftar meals, ensuring that those in need can break their fast with comfort and dignity. In addition, the bank’s Masoliyati volunteer team, dedicated to community service, will play an active role in the packaging and distribution of Iftar meals, offering the community nourishing meals during this period. The bank’s branches will also be involved in the distribution of Ramadan food packages to needy families.
It is noteworthy that the bank has strengthened its partnership with the Bousher Endowment Foundation during the month of Ramadan, assisting in raising funds for their endowment projects, which will greatly benefit the community. A central aspect of the bank’s Ramadan initiative is offering customers the opportunity to contribute to Iftar Sa’em through the bank’s user-friendly mobile application, ATMs, and CDMs. This service is designed to encourage and facilitate customers' charitable endeavors during the blessed month of Ramadan.
These activities are an integral part of Bank Nizwa’s broader commitment to social responsibility, reflecting the bank’s deeply rooted values and its dedication to reinforcing the bonds that unite Omani society. Ramadan, a time for reflection, compassion, and generosity, serves as the perfect platform for these initiatives. Through them, Bank Nizwa seeks to offer its customers meaningful opportunities to create a real impact in the lives of those less fortunate.
Emphasizing its commitment to social responsibility, Bank Nizwa is dedicated to ensuring that its Ramadan initiatives inspire both individuals and organizations to actively participate in the spirit of giving, nurturing a more equitable and compassionate society. By aligning its business values with the needs of the community, the bank continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across the Sultanate.
