Bank Nizwa Inspires Oman’s Special Olympics Team With Confidence And Courage

As part of its drive to promote human development in the Sultanate, Bank Nizwa has announced its support for the Special Olympics Oman Association’s team, which will participate in the upcoming Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017 in Austria.  Inspiring hope, confidence and courage, the bank is empowering four Omani athletes to join their counterparts from 107 countries for one of the world’s largest sports events.

 

The Special Olympics Oman Association works to integrate people with intellectual disabilities into society. With Bank Nizwa’s support, the Association will be sending a highly qualified and passionate team to compete at the highest level. Oman will be represented by 20-year-old Khalid Al Farsi, 27-year-old Raya Al Hasani, 22-year-old Shatha Al Hasani, and 17-year-old Abdulrahman Al Raqadi. They will be competing in the Snowshoeing race for 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x 100 relay mix.
